Hidden River Festival – Saturday 14th September 12.00pm-6.00pm
A fun day out for all ages at Woodberry Wetlands for the Hidden River Festival with nature discovery, arts, crafts, walks, and more!
Join us on Saturday 14th September as part of the Woodberry Down ‘Hidden River Festival’. On this day we’ll be open until 6.00pm and activities will start at 12.00pm.
At Woodberry Wetlands we’ll have a jam-packed porgramme of events throughout the day.
Highlights include the clay pot throwing on a pottery wheel, pond dipping and nature walks.
Delicious food and drink will be available at the Coal House Cafe and drinks available by the New River Studio throughout the day.
Activities and locations:
Coal House Cafe – Food, drink and gelato served all day.
Lawn by the Coal House – 1.00 – 1.45pm – Nature Storytime (suitable for 18m-6 year olds, arrive at 1.00pm so as not to miss any story)
Woodland Trail – 12.00-5.30pm – Minibeast Magic (suitable for all ages, drop-in)
Education ponds – 12.00-5.30pm – Wildlife Discovery (suitable for all ages, drop-in)
Roundhouse – 12.00-4.30pm – Pottery (suitable for 0-99 years! arrive early to get a time-slot)
Garden – 12.00-5.00pm – Nature Crafts (suitable for children over 6 years and adults, drop-in)
New River Studio – Meeting point for Guided Walks (all suitable for children over 8 years and adults)
1.00-2.00pm – Dragonfly Walk
3.00-4.00pm – History and Nature Walk
Please arrive for walks 5 minutes before the start time so you do not miss the group leaving the studio for the walk.
All events are free but donations welcome. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
