Exclusive Private Hire at Woodberry Wetlands
Adjacent to North London’s historic New River and literally on the banks of Stoke Newington’s East Reservoir, lie two versatile venues set amongst the stunning wilderness of the Woodberry Wetlands 11 hectare nature reserve. The green and peaceful setting and proximity to the City make Woodberry Wetlands an ideal location to host parties and celebrations, wedding receptions, launches, talks and meetings as well as backdrop for filming and photography.
The stylish Grade II Listed Coal House, built in 1833, was recently restored to its original grandeur in conjunction with the opening of London Wildlife Trust’s newest nature reserve in May 2016. This former coal house and kitchen situated on the most westerly side of the site now operates as a celebrated café and visitor centre and benefits from a rooftop patio, waterside terrace and sizeable garden. It is available for private hire from 5:00 – 11:30pm daily and for extended hours during special events. The venue is fully licensed as a restaurant/bar, for live entertainment and has recently been registered as an official venue with Hackney Council for civil wedding ceremonies.
At the opposite side of the reserve and easily accessible from the site’s east entrance, sits the New River Studio facility. Available for hire during Woodberry Wetlands public opening hours from 9:00am – 4:30pm, the studio features a kitchenette, meeting facilities, configurable furniture and sizeable private garden. Both venues are fully accessible and have baby changing facilities.
The dramatic landscape of sweeping reedbed, woodland and waterside rests in unique contrast with the surrounding urban development and provides an atmospheric setting for filming and photography, from editorial and fashion shoots to film productions.
